Hi everyone, Due to the current pandemic, the continued mandates in place for limited group gatherings, and the importance of social distancing to reduce everyone’s risk of getting sick, Mike and I have decided to postpone our wedding until further notice. While this isn’t ideal, we feel it is the safest and smartest decision for everyone involved. Once it is safe to gather (without masks and the 6-foot rule), we will send out more info regarding our new plans to celebrate our marriage. We are so thankful we were able to get married on our original date on 5•9•2020 in our backyard but we absolutely cannot wait to celebrate again with everyone in the, hopefully near, future! Our mothers were best friends growing up so Mike and I have known each other our entire lives! He's a few years older so we were just always in different phases of life growing up (but that didn't stop me from having a major crush on him in my early teens!). Fast forward to February 2018; I had just recently passed my PT board exam and posted about how blessed I was on Instagram. I was out to dinner with friends when I get a message from a handle that I didn't recognize so naturally, I just ignored it until I got home. To my pleasant surprise, it was my childhood crush sending me a message that read, and I quote, "Are you dating anyone?" I responded, "Hey Mike! No I'm not dating anyone right now." And then Mike asked if he could take me on a date that upcoming weekend. We went to Hillsborough BBQ and then to the Wooden Nickel for a drink Friday, February 9, and the rest is history!
