Stony Man Mountain summit
Stony Man via Appalachian Trail is a 1.5 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Luray, Virginia that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels with a maximum elevation of 4,011 feet.
Hawksbill Summit
Hawksbill Summit Trail is a 1.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Syria, Virginia that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate.Hawksbill Mountain is a mountain with an elevation of 4,050 feet.
Charlottesville
If you will be in the area for a long weekend, Charlottesville is a great place to visit. It is the location of UVA, many historic sites, and some gorgeous wineries
Virginia 151
If you are spending a long weekend in VA and want to explore some of our favorite places to eat and drink, then I recommend Nelson 151. This is a long road that has a variety of breweries, wineries, cideries, and distilleries located on it including Blue Mountain Brewery (some of the best food), Veritas (a gorgeous winery), Bold Rock Cidery, Devils Backbone Brewery, and Silverback Distillery to name a few
