Pikes Peak Cog Railway

Manitou Springs, CO 80829
, (719) 685-5401

Our first passenger train arrived on the summit in June 1891 and we staked our claim as the highest rack railway in the world. We have seen many modern developments over the years. Most recently, we’ve taken three years to rebuild and bring the Pikes Peak Cog Railway into a new era, with new trains, new track, new depot and a new Pikes Peak Visitor Center. It’s an exciting new adventure, one you have to see and experience for yourself.

Seven Falls Hike

, (855) 923-7272

Located less than one mile from The Broadmoor, Seven Falls is one of Colorado’s most captivating natural wonders. This magnificent series of waterfalls is situated in a 1,250-foot-wall box canyon between the towering Pillars of Hercules. Take in stunning vistas of verdant valleys, striking rock formations and golden prairies as you climb the challenging 224 steps to the hiking trails and the banks of glistening streams that feed Seven Falls, and its 181-foot drop of falling water.

Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs, CO 80829

Tucked into the petticoats of Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs has been the quintessential tourist town since the 1870s, when visitors discovered the healing waters the Ute Indians had been drinking for years. Many of the town's mineral springs still function today and the water is free. It's a laid-back kind of place where attitudes and clothes are casual, and a favorite family hangout is Arcade Amusements, a penny arcade where you can still play pinball for a dime. Fun shops line the downtown main street and there are some great little restaurants. Look for locally made arts and crafts as you walk the town.
