Hooray for Love!

Both Hannah and Brody had several mutual friends at Harding but were never more than acquaintances until September 2016. One day after classes, Hannah was sitting in the student center with one of their mutual friends, Hannah Banowsky. Brody showed up and they invited him to sit and hang out. That was the first time that Hannah and Brody talked and eventually became friends. After that, they hung out together with friends and were put on an "accidental" double date by Hannah Banowsky and her now fiance, Evan, when they went to a Searcy event called Get Down at Downtown. After that night, they knew that there was a spark of interest and continued to spend lots of time with each other. Eventually, Brody asked Hannah to be his girlfriend on October 10th, 2016 and the rest is history.

One weekend Hannah and Brody went on a getaway trip to Florida and that day they were resting at the beach since the previous day was spent all day at Disney World. Brody's Aunt Dee and Uncle Scott, who they were staying with, decided to take them out to dinner at a restaurant by the beach. Brody had told Hannah previously that he wanted to get dressed up and take nice pictures by the beach while they were there. After everyone ordered their food, they headed down to the beach and his aunt and uncle took pictures of them. While taking pictures Brody told Hannah that this was called the "before picture." He then got out a box, got on one knee, and proposed to Hannah. Hannah said YES!!! Afterward, they took more pictures and he made the joke that this is called the "after picture." Later that night, Hannah and Brody ate their delicious surf and turf dinner.
