Bearskin Trailhead Park

The Bearskin trail is a 21.5 mile trail through the North Woods, with the trailhead located right in downtown Minocqua. It is truly beautiful and the perfect run, walk or bike route!

A Minocqua institution - one of our favorite places to go Up North! The Thirsty Whale is a bar and restaurant on Lake Minocqua and is located in town. A great place to go for lunch or for a beer. It is also one of the liveliest places to go at night and has live music most nights.

Otto's Beer & Brat Garden

Located in the center of town, Otto's is a great place to stop for a beer and also has a beautiful beer garden in the back! Otto's also gets very lively at night and has live music most nights.

Little Brown Jug

A TINY bar that is a must if you are in Minocqua.

Black Bear Bar & Grill

You will need to drive to the Black Bear, but it is a cute, rustic restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Northern Waters Distillery

The place to go if you are looking for small-batch, artisan hand-crafted spirits. Their tasting room is where guests can see their production facility and sample their unique products, which include cold water gin and vodka, bourbon, limited releases and flavored moonshine. An excellent place to get a taste of the North Woods!

Rocky Reef Brewing Company

A great spot for a local beer and games! They offer eight handcrafted seasonal ales, porters and stouts.
