FAQs

The Wedding Website of Michelle Korman and Jonathan Brody
If you have any questions other than those we have listed here, please feel free to get in touch with either Michelle or Brody (but probably Michelle).
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would be incredibly grateful if you could RSVP no later than a month before the wedding date - so get those RSVPs in before September 2019! If you know even earlier that you will/will not be able to make it, we would be equally grateful if you could let us know ahead of time.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 6:30 so that the ceremony can begin promptly at 7:00. Don't worry, the bar will be open, so get yourself a drink before you settle in!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The dinner is served family style, and as the kitchen is small and used only for events at Deity, we've been advised that it would be difficult to make special accommodations. If you do need to make a special request, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate it (or let you know if we are unable to).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In an ideal scenario, we would love to be able to give everyone a plus one. However, due to space limitations and our preference to have as many of the people we know and love with us, if your invitation is addressed to you + your significant other, then yes; if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We promise our friends are fun and you will all have fun together - but if all else fails, the bar is open all night.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We want our wedding to be your night to let loose, unwind and have fun! We'd appreciate it if you left the kids out of this part of the celebration.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, semi-formal. We would love it if you put on your fanciest garb to join us in this once-in-a-lifetime occasion, but fully understand that not everyone has an evening dress hanging in the back of their closet. Mostly, we just want you to be comfortable and celebrating with us!

Question

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! However, we would ask that you refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony - we have an amazing photographer, and we want to give her the ability to take pictures without phones making up the bulk of the background. Following the ceremony, feel free to take as many pictures as you want; you can even post your photos to Instagram or Twitter with our wedding hashtag and have them automatically print out from our photo booth!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please check the "Travel" section of our website (or feel free to get in touch with either of us if you have any questions!)

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is street parking in front of Deity that is free after 7:00PM. There are also five parking garages within three blocks of Deity. You can also use the following link to find all parking spots and their respective prices - from street parking directly in front of Deity, to free parking one block away, to all the parking garages in the area: https://www.spotangels.com/nyc-parking#parking-near=368-Atlantic-Avenue-Brooklyn-New-York-New-York-11217-United-States
