We met in class. Brittney was blocked into a 6-10 PM class on a Wednesday night as part of her first quarter of college. Upon arriving and making the best of it, she noticed Duncan walk in and was immediately intrigued. The quarter went by and come the 5th week, she noticed that Duncan sat closer and closer each class. Then finally, he was next to her. We joked, we laughed, and eventually Duncan got Brittney's number to "study" before the final. Needless to say, the studying was composed of 4 hours of playful banter. Almost five years later, we revere that day, like it was yesterday, as we prepare to join hands in marriage - and our incessant humor has evolved alongside our love.  

Duncan planned a trip to Disneyland. On Saturday after a long fun-filled day we ventured to Downtown Disney to eat at the Catal restaurant. Brittney had a gut feeling that this trip was intended for a proposal, but Duncan mentioned that unfortunately the ring wasn't ready on time so he could not propose. Brittney was confused and a bit disappointed, but tried to make the best of it. Duncan "stepped out to the bathroom" and when he came back out, she turned to kiss him apologetically and then turned back to view Downtown Disney nightlife. She looked back for a second, and caught a glimpse of Duncan on his knee. After a double-take, he was truly on one knee. And as surprised as she was, she unshockingly, said yes!
