The weather in Vermont at this time of year is a dream for snow seekers. Renowned for its reliable snow conditions, this is typically the snowiest month with lots of sun making this an ideal time for snowy adventures. Be sure to bundle up!
You will definitely want a vehicle to access the resort and surrounding area, so we recommend driving to the resort. If you are coming from further away, we suggest flying into either New York City, Albany, Burlington, or Boston and renting a car to drive into Vermont. Rutland has a small regional airport that you can fly directly into. This is a very small airport so if you are interested in flying more directly, book early!
While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.
You can reach out at any time! Jeff - 941-760-7556 Britt - 313-805-8678
RSVPs can be completed online. Look for the header RSVP and write in your name. Your invited guest(s) will appear and you will be able to select your food options from here. If you need to make any changes, just reach out to Jeff or Brit!
Due to the lodging agreement, we hope to have RSVPs secured by September 1.
While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.
We want our guests to feel comfortable, so please choose attire that makes you feel your best. Semi-formal or cocktail wear is perfect for our celebration. Be sure to pack a warm wrap or coat for the ceremony and the transition between the Tavern and the Barn. While the sidewalks will be cleared and salted, you may want to consider bringing boots to change in/out of (or feel free to dress them up!)
We suggest that you plan to arrive Friday (or earlier). Our room block, and discount, is available for 2/28 and 3/1 (Friday and Saturday night). There are many fun adventures to have in this area and we know you will not be bored! Should you elect to book earlier in the week, or to stay later, please contact one of our recommended hotels for additional days. We suggest booking additional nights at the Mountaintop Inn or check out Clear River Tavern for a stay at one of our favorite restaurants and hotels: https://www.clearrivertavern.com/
Check back here for an up-to-date schedule which will be posted once RSVPs are collected. The ceremony will take place on the Terrace at 4:00pm. Because we are hosting an outdoor ceremony in winter, we will be exchanging vows quickly. We will not be running on Latino time so please be there promptly at 4:00pm. If you are averse to cold weather, there will be a viewing area in the resort to keep you warm.
Ceremony: 4:00pm on the Terrace Cocktail Hour: 4:15pm in the Tavern Reception: 5:15pm in the Barn
Killington is home to some of our favorite food spots: Mary Lou's is the go to for pizza, ice cold beer, live music, and of course, a warm fire! Killington Deli let's you load up on gas and. houses probably our favorite sandwiches of all time. Britt loves the Gobbler and Jeff usually opts for the Garlic, but this place does not miss! The Rivershed Tavern is a growing favorite. Great food! The Foundry offers upscale dining with outdoor skating if weather permits! Oftentimes hosting live music, this is a beautiful spot! The Pickle Barrel is our favorite for a night out on the mountain.
