The Monestary has beautiful grounds and is a wonderful place to visit when in Bloomington. Started by Thubten Jigme Norbu (Tagtser Rinpoche), the older brother of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the monastery offers cultural events, meditations, and accommodations. Please call before visiting, as COVID-19 has greatly impacted their availbility.
Visit the campus of Steve's alma mater, IU. With graduation the weekend before the wedding, the campus ought to be rather quiet for a walk. Check out the Jordan greenhouse, The Union, and the Eskenazi Museum of Art.
