A friend of mine told me about a dating app called Tinder after just having a major break-up! I decided to give the app a try. I was not on the app looking for a relationship but rather much so a friendship that might turn into a relationship! I seen Landon’s picture come up and I thought to myself, oh my he is mighty handsome but I won’t stand a chance with that one and decided to swipe left for not my type! A few days later I check my notifications and see that Landon had swiped right for his type on my picture! I then decided to swipe right on his picture as my type also thinking how lucky am I to might actually stand a chance with this handsome stud! It was from that moment he sent me a message that we became friends. We were talking a few weeks as friends and didn’t think of each other any more than that.
After a month of talking and falling hard for each other we decided to finally meet in person! My mother and I had just booked a trip to the Splash in the Boro waterpark in Statesboro, Georgia. After telling mom about this guy she said “if you want to invite your guy friend to go with us the weekend you can!” I instantly called him up and of course he was down for it!
Before heading back home after spending the weekend together at the water park I walked him over to his truck to hug him and kiss him by! Before he left he said I have a question and proceeded to ask if I wanted to become his girlfriend! Of course my response was yes, of course I do! Therefore, here we are 5 years later! I would have never thought finding someone online would be the one I fall so hard for but here we are and now soon to be happily married to each other! đź’™
We were at our parents doing the traditional thing the night before Easter coloring eggs for the family egg hunt the weekend. While talking, laughing, making memories and overall having a good time this sneaky, creative, loving man of mine was planning the proposal! While we were coloring eggs we had about 10 cups to use. I was periodically up and down checking the ones in which I dropped in while he never left the ones he was using. I kept saying, “babe those have been in there awhile are you sure they aren’t done?” while he continued to let them sit. Occasionally I would say here let me check them and see what they look like and he would refuse. I just knew he done wrote something funny on them and wanted to surprise me. Little did I know the little surprise I was expecting turned into the biggest surprise of my life! He done wrote out “will you marry me?” on the eggs and dyed them to use for the proposal. It was such a sweet moment that I never expected! We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you! See you all in January!
