Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Friday Ceremony: There is a small parking lot that is available for guests to park at for free steps away from the beach. We do encourage guests to carpool as much as they can to free up spaces for people who need to park. Overflow parking and a convenient spot to meet up to carpool is available at the Metra Station two miles away. The address is: 1700 St Johns Ave, Highland Park, IL 60035 Saturday Reception: Please see the map of all parking options posted at the top of this page. SELF PARKING We recommend you park in the East Parking Garage near door 10 to most easily access the Spirit of Chicago. For current parking rates, visit navypier.org/plan-your-visit/getting-here-and-parking/parking-and-valet PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Navy Pier is served by several bus lines from the Loop, including: 29 - State 56 - Milwaukee 65 - Grand 66 - Chicago routes DROP OFF If you are arriving by ride-share or taxi, you can be dropped off at the main entrance of Navy Pier, on the north dock at the Family Pavilion entrance, and Entrance 1. All locations are equipped with ramps.

We suggest you take Dramamine for the cruise. The Spirit of Chicago does not carry any onboard that they can give to guests but there is no problem bringing it onboard youself.

Please let us know if there are any requests for assistance getting on or off the boat. You'll be able to let us know when you RSVP. The marine crew is always available for handicap assistance. The Spirit of Chicago cannot accommodate any motorized wheelchairs but they do have a manual wheelchair on board if that is an issue.
