During our first year at Slippery Rock University, we had mutual friends and a few classes together but we didn't think much of it. At the end of the fall of our junior year, we met at a party for only a few minutes, but Jarod had goals to see me again in the spring. 02.09.2018 was the day I knew that Jarod was a very special man. We were at the same party where we started talking, but I got separated from my friends. Jarod noticed I was alone and made sure I got home safe before he walked 2 miles home by himself. The next day my best friend Paige and I spent 4 hours trying to remember Jarod's name so I could find him on Instagram to thank him. A day and a half later I reached out to Jarod to thank him, and the rest was history
Jarod and I had a unique time where we had to grow our relationship long distance while being 1,200 miles apart. When I entered my first year at Physician Assistant school in Pennsylvania, he was finishing his last year at Auburn University down in Alabama. However, throughout our time dating, one of our favorite things to do for date nights is wineries. For my first weekend of school, he flew up to visit and we went to a winery called Folino Estate. We have gone to MULTIPLE wineries since, but that has always remained our favorite. Fast forward to spring, Jarod wanted to take us to our favorite winery again. Little did I know he had something planned all along... After a few wine tastings, of course, I wanted to get a photo in the gazebo where we took pictures two years prior. Since we were all alone, I had set up my phone and was running back and forth pressing the timer and posing with him. After the fourth time I pressed the timer, I turned around to see him on one knee. We are so excited to start this new chapter of our lives with you!
