Julie has been a coworker and friend to the bride for several years. In addition to being a great friend, Julie has also spent many miles running with Brittany from a marathon, several half marathons, and weekly runs in their favorite running spots.

Elly has been a friend to the bride since childhood. Besides their close friendship, Elly and Brittany also share a deep love for everything Harry Potter.

Brittany and Nicolle met at Linfield and were both members of Alpha Phi Fraternity. Brittany and Nicolle share a close friendship and both LOVE dogs.

Tracy Wicklund

What started as a great teaching team quickly became a cherished friendship. Tracy and Brittany teach 2nd grade together and have neighboring classrooms. Outside of work, Tracy and Brittany love Nordstrom, Duck games, and keep each other motivated to ride the Peloton.

Elayna Matthews

Elayna is sister to the groom and has warmly welcomed Brittany into the family. Chris and Brittany both love spending time with Elayna and her family at their home where she and her husband Sam are incredible hosts. Elayna and Brittany both love working out at Salem's Barre3 studio.

Owen is an active kindergartener who loves to ride bikes, read books, and do construction work. Owen also likes to chase girls at recess and loves firefighters.

June loves blueberries, hummingbirds, balloons. airplanes, and being cozy. June is also an emerging dancer. her current moves are mini squats and spinning in slow circles.

Joseph Dent

Best Man

Chris and Joey’s friendship dates back to elementary school where they played little league baseball together. They maintained their friendship through middle school and high school playing basketball, football, and lacrosse together. They have been roommates on multiple occasions in college and after graduation. Whether it is out on the greens playing golf, bowling, catching a movie, or just drinking some beer, Joey has always been Chris’ ride or die. Chris says he has always known that Joey would be his Best Man one day.

Samuel Matthews

Chris and Sam first met in high school when Sam began dating Chris’ sister Elayna. He then officially became part of Chris’ family when he married Elayna in the summer of 2014. Chris and Sam lived together at the Shannon’s Place apartments in their last years of college. Since Chris moved to Salem in the summer of 2022 he is much closer to Sam and Elayna and their three daughters. They get together often for meals, holidays, and other activities. Chris routinely helps his family out with home projects.

Amitai Zuckerman

Chris and Amitai (Tai) met in the Fall of 2007 at the University of Oregon where they were in the same pledge class of the Alpha Epsilon Pie fraternity. They remained close friends throughout college while they lived in the fraternity house together and then also as neighbors. Although Amitai has moved several times after college to places such as California, Maryland, and Massachusetts, he and Chris have maintained their friendship by talking weekly on the phone and visiting each other whenever possible.

William Bohn

Groomsman

Chris and William first met in the Spring of 2011 when Will joined the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. At the time Chris was the live-in Chapter Adviser. Will also became Chris’ Great Grand Little in the house. Will has a great affinity for sports, just like Chris, and has also tried his hand at rock climbing in the college rec center where Chris worked at the rock climbing wall. After graduation, Chris and Will would often go back to Autzen stadium to watch their Ducks play football. In 2019 they decided to buy season tickets together and have been attending almost every home game (and some away games) since. Will has also recently started to learn how to ice skate backwards.

Jeffrey Boatwright

Chris met Jeff in 2018 when he started working for the Oakridge Fire Department. Jeff was a Lieutenant and in charge of onboarding and training for Chris. They instantly became friends, working on the ambulance and fire engine together. A year later they were both working for other fire departments. Although Chris and Jeff live and work in different cities, they find time to get together whenever possible despite their busy schedules.

Nathan Rhodes

Chris met Nathan in the summer of 2022 just after meeting Brittany. Nathan is married to Brittany's sister Mikaela. Nathan enjoys hunting, fishing, and is an avid car enthusiast. As a hobby he is on the pit crew of a race car team and he also is an incredible cook. So far, Chris and Nathans friendship adventures include Nathans wedding, The Oregon Jamboree music festival, camping at the coast, and enjoying a delicious seafood buffet at the Chinook Winds Casino with our dads. There will no doubt be many more fun adventures and family activities in store for these two.
