Brittany was a front of house employee in a new restaurant, she was seeing lots of new faces, but on the second day of work one in particular caught her eye. A few weeks went by and since Brittany was a mom of two young girls, she needed to pick up any possible shift to make ends meet, so she picked up a kitchen prep shift while knowing absolutely nothing about food prep and knife skills. She was thrown in tasks that she felt completely unqualified for, and while many others in the back offered condescending help, that same face that caught her eye a few weeks back was the only one that offered actual to help her. He was sweet, patient and kind. Brittany and Zakk talked throughout the entire shift and quickly Brittany knew that he was the one for her. After waiting for any sign that Zakk was interested in her, and using any excuse to try and get noticed by him, Brittany got tired of waiting and followed him into the cooler in the back of the kitchen with a note that read her name, number and a smiley face. And just a few months later, that same note tucked into a wooden ring box, as Zakk asked Brittany to spend their lives together, forever. They now get to unite their family under the Wedding tree, a beautiful oak tree that Brittany's grandparent's Melissa and Eugene were united by 38 years ago.
