PSA: If you have not made accommodations yet, please do so! Sylva is small town with few hotels and there are multiple local college graduations around this time of year. There are also no NO UBERS OR TAXIS. Because of this, we are providing transportation to and from both hotels Friday & Saturday. If you are not staying at a hotel & have opted for an Airbnb, VRBO, etc., please still utilize the shuttles from the hotels listed on the "Travel" tab, unless you have a sober driver. HOW WE MET: Brittan & Cy met in 2011 at a roof top bar called the Bear Trap in Tuscaloosa, AL. (Roll Tide!) Cy had a regular gig playing guitar & Brittan was a bartender. They bonded over a love of live music, chicken wings, and Fireball. One night while playing, Cy slipped Brittan's name into a Paul Simon song & the rest is history. Their drink of choice has matured over the years, but one thing is still the same.. "they love each other, Lord you can see it's true." To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style! COVID INFO: Hopefully most of you have had the opportunity to get vaccinated. We, along with most of the friends & family that we've spoken to, have been. The ceremony is completely outdoors & the reception, while covered, is open air. Masks are not required, but if you feel more comfortable masked, go for it!
