Enjoy some Charlottesville History while also taking a great walk or run. A favorite is the Saunders-Monticello Trail which at 4.3 miles with a pitstop at the Monticello Visitor's Center.
For a taste of Charlottesville, stop by the City Market, Charlottesville's oldest open-air market: Saturday, 8 am-12 noon. Homemade baked goods, fresh roasted coffee, doughnuts, organic bagels, authentic cultural foods made on location, fresh artisan breads, and much more.
The Historic Downtown Mall is just minutes from the hotels and offers a chance to support local retailers and restaurants while also admiring the wonderful mix of restored and renovated buildings.
Charlottesville and its surrounding areas have an extensive selection of wineries and breweries to visit, and cider-making is also becoming popular. Operating hours change frequently, make sure to check websites before heading out. And of course, you'll get to experience Pippin Hill Farm and their gorgeous setting and tasty wines are our reception.
