Some of my favorite whiskey to keep in the house (if you come over I most certainly will offer it to you). Close to the next few recommendations of wineries, this is a great stop on your tour of Woodinville. Fun food here as well.
Fun cellar tour and gorgeous grounds, this is one of Woodinville's most famous wineries. Will you run into the friendly peacocks on your tour?
Another spot with great wine, romantic terraces and friendly staff. A lovely stop on your wine tour.
While there are so many more wineries we could list, I will end the Woodinville wineries list with JM Cellars because, it's just good wine!
A Hill family favorite, some of the best breakfast in the state and where Scott picked up breakfast sandwiches for Val and Brian (Samantha's parents) before going to their house to have "the talk".
One of my favorite tourists activities (we came here on our one year anniversary) is this gorgeous blown glass garden tucked underneath the Space Needle. Dale Chihuly is a born and raised Tacoma native and his work is very inspired by the nature and culture of the Pacific Northwest.
If you are downtown and exploring, a great way to break up the city is to walk along the water and enjoy this waterfront pathway park. Connected to the famous Olympic Sculpture Park, this is a lovely way to enjoy the scenery.
Amazing beer. The end.
Owned by a Michigan Alumni, this spot has lots of room for bigger groups and amazing views of the water. Essentially connected to Pike Place as well.
Could we be anymore touristy? Truly though, if you have not been to Seattle before I highly recommend a walk through America's oldest farmer's market. As crowded as it gets in the summertime, I still love this place. Head up to the Corner Market to Storyville Coffee or Radiator Whiskey. Buy a bouquet of flowers, see the famous fish throwers and veer towards the senior center to the Secret Garden. You can take the stairway down past El Bistro (where Samantha's parents got engaged) and to the famous Gum Wall outside Unexpected Productions Improv.
Fremont neighborhood is a great place to walk around and pop in and out of shops, try beer and spirits and walk along the Fremont Canal. My best day there would include visiting the Fremont Troll, getting a coffee at Millstead or MiiR, visiting the statue of Lenin, looking at plants at the Indoor Sun Shop, A beer at Aslan Brewing's Tap Room, a beer at Outlander Brewing, small batch gin at Fremont Mischief, free samples (or take the tour) at Theo Chocolate Factory, and end at Add-A-Ball for arcade games and a beer. Pro tip: see if any bands you like are playing at Nectar Lounge and head to a show! Pro Pro Tip, head down the canal further to the Ballard Locks to see an amazing engineering feat (free)!
This is a Brewery Crawl! There are some great breweries in Ballard and it is a blast to hit a bunch in one day. You can easily walk between all the ones I will list here, safety! I will list them in order of what I think is a good walking path, but do what works for you. Stoup Brewing (great atmosphere), Urban Family (amazing sours), Rubens Brews (Scott's Favorite), Fair Isle Brewing (new and a must try), Peddler Brewing Company, Maritime Brewing and Populux!
Gorgeous waterfront park next to a huge marina. This is a lovely place to have a picnic and enjoy views of the Puget Sound.
Incredible park with views of Mt. Rainier, beautiful running/easy walking trails, swimming and foliage. Scott and I had a run here on one of our first dates after church and it was lovely.
