We met during our first year of medical school at Georgetown. Brienne posted about getting a group together for an upcoming DC concert in the class Facebook group, and John was the first to respond. Thus started a remarkable friendship based on mutual love of live music, dancing, good food, and always being up for the next adventure. After an entire year of friendship and flirtation we finally decided to make it official in December 2014...and the rest is history!

John popped the question on a chilly New Year's Eve in 2017, overlooking a quintessentially romantic New York City skyline. The best part of the story is that John was sleep deprived from being on call and left the ring in DC! He had it overnighted to New York just in time to propose. Brienne had no idea! We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you. See you on the dance floor in October!
