Anchorage offers plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for children, teens and adults. Please refer to the "Things To Do" tab. This section offers suggestions by Bridget and Ryan of both indoor and outdoor activities, restaurants, museums, culture and more!
Due to the fact that the majority of goods imported into Alaska is via plane or barge, the cost is higher as compared to the Lower 48. Hotels and car rentals are doubled, if not tripled, during the summer months due to commercial fishing season, which runs from end of May to the end of July. It is highly suggested that you research the area and options before confirming your accommodation reservations. Air B&B offers more space at a cheaper rate.
Yes. Some of Ryan's friends and family members will be demonstrating how to fillet salmon, smoke salmon and make your own jelly and/or honey, going berry picking and making your own sushi! If this is something you are interested in doing, please let us know no later than the RSVP date so that we can plan accordingly for supplies, as well as confirm a date/time that works for all parties interested.
