What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal & Fabulous! Black Tie Optional Ladies: Long dresses welcome! We kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride - whites, ivories and creams Gents: Your very best suit. Jacket required; no jeans/khakis. (Bonus points for a tux!)

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to ceremony to park and find your seat.

Will there be transportation to/from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be two shuttles running to/from all hotel locations. There will be 1x shuttle running to/from the Hampton Inn and 1x shuttle running to/from Ironworks Hotel. If you are staying at Hotel Goodwin, please catch the shuttle across the street at the Ironworks Hotel. If you are staying at HOME2 Suites, please catch the shuttle at the Hampton Inn in the same parking lot. Look for the big yellow school bus!

I would prefer to drive myself. Is there parking on site?

Answer

There is ample parking at the wedding venue.

I'm from out of town, what airports are closest to the wedding?

Answer

The airports closest to the wedding are Chicago-Rockford International Airport (RFD) in Rockford, IL (40 min from hotel) or Dane County Regional Airport (MSN) in Madison, WI (1 hour from hotel). If you fly into Chicago O'Hare (ORD) or Chicago Midway (MDW), the venue is 1.5 hours from the airport.

Can I bring my cat / dog / uncle Bill / plus one?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. If you recieved a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation. We are happy to celebrate with your Uncle Bill at a later date, though.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say our I do's. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and video as you'd like and please be sure to tag the bride @briannaleenelson and groom @timm44y as you post!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor weather permitting.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the drinks are on us and the hangover is on you.
