We can't wait to celebrate with you!

We knew of each other from graduate school (Palmer) but hadn't ever spoke. I (Bri) was about to graduate and was out celebrating with a couple of friends in downtown San Jose. He walked in to the bar with his classmates and when at the bar I leaned over to ask if he wanted to take a whiskey shot, he said yes, paid for it and I said "thanks, see ya later!" I really didn't want to date anyone at the time but he was persistent after this night. When I gave in to a date a few weeks later, he picked me up for a surprise date, everything just clicked and the rest was history!

We were taking a trip to explore Bend, OR and staying with one of my best girlfriends, Victoria. Little did I know they had the whole thing planned. We took off for a sunset hike at Smith Rock and once we got there Victoria went off to the bathroom. When she came back she had a "friend" with her, who later I discovered was our photographer, who said she was planning to hike that day to get landscape shots but was stood up by a friend so we invited her to hike with us! I'll admit I was pretty suspicious at this point but kept my questions to a minimum. Some pics of all of us, Riley and I and landscape shots were taken at various viewpoints (Smith Rock is insanely pretty), until we reached "the spot". The photographer asked Riley to check his pants LOL and asked me to turn around. I was freaking out at this point. Ri asked me to turn and face him then asked me to marry him! Afterwards he pulled out an outfit for photos and champagne to celebrate. I was so surprised by his level of planning and the fact he did it in Oregon with Victoria there. It was a special day<3
