We met through mutual friends while attending college at UW-La Crosse. In March of 2020 a group of us decided to book an AirBnB in Appleton, WI. We had met a few times before this but never really had the chance to talk and get to know one another. After the trip, we spent the next month or so messaging back and forth before finally going on our first date in April of 2020. We went on a hike in Hixon Forest- one of our favorite spots in La Crosse. We thank God for bringing us together during a time when everything else felt so uncertain.

We took a trip to Oregon in July of 2022 to watch the World Track Championships. We flew in to Seattle, Washington and traveled as far as the Redwoods in California, stopping at National Parks and other scenic spots along the way. It was the last day of our trip and Seth had planned a last minute hike the morning we were supposed to leave. Seth proposed at the end of our hike in the Redwoods. We were standing in front of of the 238 ft tall, Boy Scout Tree. I was looking up at the tree for a photo but when I turned around I saw Seth down on one knee, waiting for me to say yes. I was completely surprised and overcome with joy.
