Question

What do I need to do before traveling to the Bahamas (COVID-19 related info)?

Answer

*UPDATED 1/25/22* All guests will need to apply for The Bahamas Health Travel Visa prior to your travel to the Bahamas. You will create a profile, upload your travel information and travel documents and add in your trip. Vaccinated guests will need to obtain a negative Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and unvaccinated guests will need to obtain a negative RT-PCR test, lab tests only, no at home. These tests must be no more than 3 days (72 hours) prior to the date of arrival and upload their negative results to your profile. As of 1/19/22 guests will also need to complete a rapid test (48) hours after arrival, depending on length of stay. There is a cost associated with the Health Travel Visa, currently $40.00 per person. This cost does cover (2) tests including your test to return to the US and the resort offers testing on-site. Additional information can be found at https://www.travel.gov.bs/. We recommend checking this site frequently as they are updating their travel requirements regularly.

Question

What happens if I test positive while at the resort?

Answer

Baha Mar’s Travel with Confidence Program pledges that should a resort guest test positive during their stay, Baha Mar will facilitate their quarantine with courtesy accommodations and a daily in-room dining credit of $150 per person per day, for up to 14 days or until the guest receives a negative COVID-19 result. Should the guest choose to leave The Bahamas earlier, Baha Mar will provide private air travel to the US mainland for the guest and their immediate family, free of charge. Additional detailed information can be found at https://bahamar.com/travel-with-confidence/.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress recommendation is resort wear/casual. All events (weather permitting) will be located outside.

Question

Is there a grocery store and liquor store nearby?

Answer

Friendly tip: For those that wish to stock up on items (and not pay resort prices) there is a grocery store and liquor store located approximately 5 minutes from the resort. Both are located on W Bay St. Grocery - Quality Markets Liquor Store - Flying Dutchman Liquor Store
