In the Spring of 2020 Brian and Tara had a History class together where Tara always thought that Brian looked pissed off because it was early in the morning. Later that semester due to Covid sending all the students home after spring break, Tara and Brian wouldn't officially meet until the following fall when mutual friends brought them together. After a few months of hanging out and Tara rejecting his first attempt at asking her out, the two started dating after Brian agreed to go to a Zumba class with Tara and their friends. (Brian clearly went all out with the dance moves). After many adventures and many hours talking about their future, the two decided that they should get married. Brian was really nervous that he would buy a ring that Tara would not like, so they decided to go and pick out the ring together. Brian and Tara are very excited to celebrate this special day with friends and family.

Brian had told Tara that he wanted to take his graduation pictures around the campus at Illinois State University. While they were taking pictures at the iconic bench that says, "To those who fell in love at ISU" Brian got down on one knee and asked Tara to marry him.
