Here are some of our favorite places to eat and drink around town for those of you who will have some time to explore on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday depending on your travel plans.
Punch! Bar & Lounge

Punch! Bar & Lounge

217 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Bri and Core's first official date was here!!! Located off the lobby of the Hyatt downtown, this is THE place for craft cocktails. They offer a seasonal cocktail list of their own jouse creations, as well as the classics. Great wine and beer list, and if you like rum they have hundreds of bottles. Also, some yummy small plates. The shrimp risotto is delish and they do a great charcuterie board.

Triptych Brewing

Triptych Brewing

1703 Woodfield Drive, Savoy, IL 61874

This is where Bri & Core first met!!! Best brewery for 100 miles in any direction. Core is all about their seasonal stouts and fruit ales. Bri thinks their Danke Meme is one of the most solid beers in existence and loves all their IPA offerings. They have a great airy taproom with nice patio seating out front. They also have food trucks outside for a nosh most evenings.

Watson's Shack & Rail

Watson's Shack & Rail

211 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Great Nashville Hot and different 🐓 sandwiches. Definitely get an adult slushie and some poutine to start! Try the Du Velo sandwich with an over medium egg on top.

The Himalayan Chimney

The Himalayan Chimney

134 West Church Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Our favorite Indian in town! We adore the lassoni gobi appetizer.

Seven Saints

Seven Saints

32 East Chester Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Woody tavern that serves great salads, soups, sandwiches, and sliders. Fantastic wine, cocktail, and bourbon selections. The fried cheese curds app is a must. Brian loves their club sandie and Hemingway daiquiri. Core would just like plates of the cheese curds and maybe a California turkey slider to keep it 'healthy'.

Big Grove Tavern

Big Grove Tavern

1 East Main Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Upscale tavern with great outdoor seating. Their Brussels sprouts made Brian a fan of Brussels sprouts and their brunch is delicious enough to get Cortney out of bed on a Sunday morning.

Sakanaya

Sakanaya

403 East Green Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Best sushi in town! Get the playgirl roll and the sakanaya roll.

Jarling's Custard Cup

Jarling's Custard Cup

309 West Kirby Avenue, Champaign, IL 61820

Tom Hanks' favorite cold treats place in America (seriously, look it up). Anything with cold fudge will be delicious!

Café Kopi

Café Kopi

109 North Walnut Street, Champaign, IL 61820

Classic coffeehouse that has become a downtown staple. They do a superb cafe miel.

The Literary

The Literary

122 North Neil Street, Champaign, IL 61820

A cute small bookstore that has a great cafe in the back with coffee, beer, and wine, along with pastries and other eats.

For all the days along the way
