We met in 1996. I was 14 and he was 16. I do not remember exactly where we met, he swears it was at a mutual friends party, but I just remember being so in love with him. We dated off and on, like teenagers do, and eventually went our separate ways. We both looked for the other over the years, but were never able to find each other. Then, in October of 2021, I received a message through Facebook that said, “hey stranger, it’s been a million years”. I did not even respond to him the night I received the message. I just remember thinking, do I respond? This was my first love and he still made me nervous! Finally, the next morning I did respond and we began talking as if 26 years hadn’t gone by. It was as if we were supposed to be together. We both still had those feelings that we had when we were kids. Now, we are getting married! Soulmates destined to be together! Simply meant to be.
