FAQs

If there's any information that you think we're missing on here please let us know!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. When you get to the Whirlybird please follow the signs to the first driveway on the right and park perpendicular to the driveway. We will have people available to help direct you.

Question

Can I bring children?

Answer

We love kids, and children under 13 are welcome to attend up to the curfew at 7:00pm. However, the venue has strict rules requiring that children be carefully supervised and near their parents at all times. No running or roughhousing in or around the buildings. We will have an area with kids activities and games. If you're coming in from out of town and need childcare during the evening please reach out to us and we will be happy to put you in touch with some wonderful local sitters.

Question

What kind of food should I bring?

Answer

Bring your favorite dish that is suitable for a picnic. We'll have around 100-150 people but your dish doesn't need to serve everyone, there will be plenty of food to go around! If you have a favorite recipe that you'd like to share with us we'd love to add it to the book of family recipes that we're making. Please write it on the card included in the invitation and bring it along with your dish to the party. Foods that you "made it yourself all the way from the grocery store" are also welcome! We will have a buffet set up inside. The Whirlybird has limited heating and refrigeration options so if possible please bring something that can go straight to the table. If you're not a cook or are coming from out of town, don't worry about bringing a dish, there will still be plenty of food and we will be just as happy to enjoy your company and share the day with you!

Question

Will there be games?

Answer

Yes! We'll have tables set up and some of our favorite games but feel free to bring your current favorite to share.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Casual Attire: Anything goes (though we'd appreciate it if you wear clothes), from sundresses and sandals to shorts or jeans and tees.
