Flight
We recommend flying into San Juan. No passports are required for US citizens and it is reachable via all major airlines. Flights are typically expensive this time of year to Puerto Rico because everyone who has moved to the continental 48 prioritizes going home each year (almost regardless) of cost. From any major city, you can expect the flights to vary between 500-800 dollars roundtrip. You can save some by flying out on days that are less popular.
Hotel
Location of the reception. Recently renovated resort about 30 mins outside San Juan. Room block link is below that can be used for 2 or 3 night stays checking out on the 31st. If you have alternative dates, call the hotel at 787-657-1040. https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/puerto-rico/hyatt-regency-grand-reserve-puerto-rico/sjurc?corp_id=g-dk21 Alternatively, we recommend AirBNB and other VRBO options. Due to the demand on the island for this time of year, if you are a frequent traveler, using hotel points is an excellent option at the major hotel chains.

Rental Car
San Juan Airport is the cheapest and best option to rent a car. Having a car creates significant flexibility on your trip if you would like to explore. However, I feel obligated to share that driving in Puerto Rico is an experience and not for the easily stressed. While it is a source of nostalgia for Brian, the roads can be narrow and the letter nor the spirit of the law are obeyed strictly. Take it slow and be alert (and consider getting full coverage). Alternatively, you can arrange other types of transportation - Uber is reasonable and very accessible in San Juan proper. We also have hade luck with it from the Resort for airport transfers, but it requires some patience in our experience. There are other transportation options that the hotel can provide.
Shuttle
