FAQs

Question

What should I expect?

Answer

As you know, we are married already and we really want our most important people to meet and have a great time together! It's not your traditional ceremony and seated dinner, we will be having a seated ceremony and mixed seated and standing party. Please mix and mingle with everyone.

Question

How do I get around on the island?

Answer

There are no ride sharing companies (uber,lyft,etc..) on the island and it is not a walkable island. If you decide to stay in an Airbnb or want to be particularly adventurous, we highly recommend renting a car. Otherwise there are Taxi's and driving services that can get you everywhere you would need.

Question

How do I get a Taxi?

Answer

Taxis are available at the airport, downtown, restaurants and major hotels. Getting a taxi at the airport is as simple as walking outside the airport doors, there is no need to pre book them. If you like your taxi driver from the airport, I would recommend taking their number so that you can use them throughout your trip

Question

Will transportation be provided for wedding activities?

Answer

Yep! For our out of town guests, we will provide transportation at the end of the party back to the Shaw Airbnb and to Bahamar.

Question

Are my children invited?

Answer

We love your children, but you were our first loves! We want to have a good, stress free time with you. Everyone who is invited, is listed on your invitation and in the RSVP section of the website. Please reach out to us with any specific questions on this, we know everyone has different circumstances

Question

How do I RSVP? When should I RSVP by?

Answer

"To RSVP, click the RSVP tab and type the name listed on your envelope. Please RSVP before December 12th 2023. If you are not able to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as you can.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Tropical chic. This is a garden party, with lots of colour! Women think colourful, flowy dresses. Men, no need for tuxes or ties If you're still unsure, here are some examples: https://pin.it/3Wfjxs6 Weather in The Bahamas during this time of year is usually warm but not hot (this is cool for non Americans) and sunny. I would bring sunglasses.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

They will both be held outdoors. It should be a great temperature outdoors (Bria's favourite time of the year in The Bahamas), we normally wear sleeveless attire during this time of year

Question

Will there be a seated dinner?

Answer

No, we are here to party! The ceremony will roll right into food and drinks. Please eat during the cocktail hour and into the night at our buffets stations, butler stations and pass around options.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is complimentary guest parking. We will send a Google Map pin to all guests who request directions the week of the wedding

Question

What type of shoes should I wear?

Answer

For my people who like to wear heels, wear shoes you can dance and stand in. please. There will be lots of standing during the party (anytime after the ceremony). This is a fete (party), so barefoot is also acceptable during the party.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5 pm, please be seated by 4:45 pm at the latest.
