FAQs

Please read over the below questions! They contain a lot of really important information in regard to the wedding ceremony AND reception. Reach out to the bride or groom if your question is not addressed below.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is business casual/dressy casual/cocktail attire. In true NC weather fashion, we are unsure what the day-of temperature will be. Please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly! PLEASE DO NOT WEAR: white, red, pastels, or emerald green. Moody, fall colors recommended. Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, we are asking for our wedding to be kid-free (between the ages of 0-10). We thank you for your understanding and hope this can be a fun date night!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Aim to arrive between 15-30 minutes before the ceremony is set to begin. The sun sets fairly early in November and we want to get as much light as we can for the ceremony and the beginning of the reception. With that being said, we will not hold the ceremony for anyone and would love for everyone to be in attendance before the bride walks down the aisle.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

In hopes of keeping an intimate ceremony, we are not allowing plus ones unless stated on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Our venue has parking on site, just up a hill, near the reception. There are roughly 60 parking spots and, if needed, an overflow parking lot. On the day of, our venue offers golf carts to shuttle guests from parking to the ceremony and from the reception to their cars at the end of the night. However, everything is in walking distance from each other.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

The Legacy at Gregory Downs is an outdoor venue. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place uncovered by the pond and our reception will be covered, under a pavilion, with the exception of the dance floor. However, if necessary, we will hold both the ceremony and the reception under the main pavilion. Please watch the weather and dress accordingly!

Question

What if I do not RSVP on time?

Answer

We plan to send a couple reminders before the RSVP date, however, if you happen to miss the RSVP date, we do ask that you get into contact with us within a week so we can see if we can add you into our headcount. If we are unable to, we apologize and are sorry you could not join us. PLEASE RSVP ON TIME!!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have alcohol at our wedding. It will be an open bar, however, we are only purchasing a preset amount so when it is gone, we will not be able to get more. Also, if you plan on drinking please make sure you have transportation to get home and remember to drink responsibly!

Question

What types of food will be served?

Answer

We will have finger foods right after the ceremony during our cocktail hour. Followed by a buffet style dinner from Family Catering consisting of chicken and steak along with a few sides. Later in the evening, cake will be served.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We LOVE our photographer and know you will too. She is amazing! Therefore, we are asking for an unplugged ceremony. Do not bring any cameras, iPads, etc. with the intent to record or photograph the ceremony and reception.

Question

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
