It all started 8 years ago at Bethel, when a friend from Bret's baseball team casually mentioned that I thought he was cute. That simple remark sparked a connection, but our paths didn’t cross again for another 6 years. Life went on, and we each moved in different directions, unaware that fate was quietly guiding us toward each other. Then, a little over two years ago, after all that time apart, our paths finally crossed again. The connection we had once felt rekindled, and it was clear we couldn’t let this feeling slip away. We started dating, and everything from that point forward felt like it was meant to be. On August 7th, a day I’ll never forget, Bret proposed. We were on the bridge leading to Nicollet Island when he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Time seemed to slow, and I could feel everything that had brought us to that moment. With tears in my eyes and a smile on my face, I said yes, knowing that this was only the beginning of our forever. We are now preparing for our next chapter, our wedding on May 30th, 2025. As we count down the days, I find myself reflecting on how far we've come and how incredibly lucky I am to have found my Best friend and life partner.
