Matron of Honor
Ashley's little big sister who has offered her guidance and entertainment throughout life. They share similar tastes in derpy humor and little white dogs (Benji pictured). Ashley credits Nicole for encouraging her to fly out to meet Brent for the first time since Sydney, which was the start of Ashley and Brent's journey together.
Mark May
Best Man
Brent's best friend of 18 years and domestic partner of 8 years living in both Santa Clara and San Francisco. Brent and Mark first met at Santa Clara University and their friendship continued to grow through college and throughout the many years they spent in the Bay Area. Brent and Mark's friendship was built on similar interests of watching sports, singing karaoke in Japan town, and being teammates in popular table games in both college and post college eras. Mark is also famous for his amazing huevos rancheros recipe that he always shared with Brent when they lived together. Mark is like a brother to Brent and there is no one else he would want to rely on to plan his bachelor party and have his back on his wedding day.
Karina Paredes
Bridesmaid
Karina is Ashley's first friend from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. They actually first met in the Pullman Walmart ("Wally World" - Karina), and then got to know each other better being in the same First-Year camp group. Karina helped to keep Ashley social over the four years by inviting her out to events, but also respecting her introversion. One of Ashley's fond memories with Karina was playing pool volleyball at the gym and trying to boost Karina up for a spike as if Karina were Wonderwoman from the scene where Wonderwoman yells, "Shield!". You could reliably find Ashley and Karina of sitting in the front rows of the classroom throughout their didactic years, so Karina has seen the budding of Ashley and Brent's relationship.
Reese Fujimoto
Groomsman
Brent's close friend, younger brother, and surfing and golf buddy. Brent and Reese have always been close and Brent was never lonely growing up knowing that he had a friend nearby at all times to play video games or sports with. Reese would always share his extra food with Brent when they were kids (Brent will never forget Reese's generosity) which is why Reese is so skinny now. One of the great memories that they shared was their brothers trip to Japan in 2018. Reese and Brent traveled to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, where they were able to bond and explore Japan together. However, Reese got sushi-fatigued at Tsukiji Fish Market which led him to having an an-pan while Brent had a giant ikura donburi. Reese has always been there for Brent and he is happy and proud to have Reese as a groomsman for his wedding.
Leilah Romero
Bridesmaid
Ashley's spicy Latina friend from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and lover of all things shiny and peacock. They enjoyed hanging out over dinner to unwind from the stress of school. Ashley could always count on Leilah to stand up for her, and bring cut fruit from Safeway to potlucks since cooking was never a viable option. Ashley will forever remember the time Leilah was trying to understand Ashley's gluten intolerance and asked if coffee was okay.
Colin Inamasu
Groomsman
Colin and Brent have been friends since the 5th grade. He had been coming by the Fujimoto house for so many years, Brent's parents have fondly nicknamed him their "third son". Colin and Brent first bonded over their love of N64 and screamo music. They were even part of a well known band (with their one Spotify monthly listener, e.g. Aryan) named "Selected Out"; you may, or may not, have heard of them. Even though Brent and Colin went to college in different states, and Colin moved back to Hawaii first, they always stayed in touch whenever Brent was back in town. Colin is infamous for texting people one sentence at a time instead of block text. We are all lucky and a little annoyed to have Colin as our friend. Brent is appreciative of Colin and knows Colin will always be there for him.
Aryan Buzari
Flower Fella
Ashley's first new friend after moving back home and uncle to Sheldon & Scooby. He and Sheldon even had their first Koko Head hike together. Brent, Ashley and Aryan have gone on a few adventures, the most epic being on a friends' trip to Japan.
David Imanaka
Officiant
Ashley's brother-in-law. Ashley appreciates his logical advice and entertaining Nicole in her stead. He is the mix master of his home bar, Bar Ima, and is Brent's drinking buddy since the sisters don't drink.
Scooby
Flower Girl
Technically the second child after Sheldon, but the easier of the two to attend a wedding. She is an Italian Truffle Dog and has been a part of the Fuzzymoto family since July 2023. Her favorite things to do include snuggling with Mom, Scooby Snax and sniffing out poop.
Sheldon
Honorable mention
The first Fuzzymoto of his name and older brother to Scooby. He was a foster fail that started off as a 3-week-old that couldn't walk due to Swimmer's Syndrome, and after rehab with Mom, is now a bite-your-toes-and-soft-skin young punk.
