It's a tale as old as time. It was the summer of 2016; Brian was growing exasperated sifting through profiles on Coffee Meets Bagel, but fortunately came across Jenny's and immediately swiped right. Intrigued by the pictures of Brian with various dogs in his profile, Jenny thankfully also swiped right. Brian knew the perfect pickup line to get the ball rolling. "Coffee or tea?" he inquired. "Definitely coffee," Jenny responded. Little did she know that answer would soon change her life forever. Over the following few weeks, Brian and Jenny exchanged messages throughout the day and into the wee hours of the night. They got to know each other, and eventually decided to meet up in what Jenny still considers a "low risk, low reward" endeavor. On September 17, 2016, with Brian armed with Beans and Jenny armed with Molly, the two decided to get together for a doggy playdate. Though Beans and Molly mostly ignored each other, Brian and Jenny did not. Quite the opposite, in fact. From that point on, Brian and Jenny have been nearly inseparable.
On December 15, 2018, Brian and Jenny took a trip to Lake Tahoe with Brian's sister and soon-to-be brother-in-law (Ann and Shane). Brian had already bought a ring and was planning on proposing on the dock at King's Beach at sunset. Ann and Shane were in on the plan, and were going to help capture the magical moment. As sunset rolled around, Ann suggested that Brian and Jenny go out and check out the lake, and that she and Shane would be out shortly to meet up with them. Heart thumping in his throat, "It's time," Brian thought. Brian and Jenny walked out to the dock and admired the beautiful scenery and setting sun. Brian then took Jenny's hand. "So you know I talked to your parents..." Brian began. He continued to say some heartfelt and sincere proclamations, which culminated with him on one knee asking Jenny "Will you marry me?" "Yes!" Jenny exclaimed through happy tears. After the happy moment, Ann and Shane popped out from behind some bushes to congratulate and celebrate with the newly engaged couple. With hugs and handshakes going around, Brian turned to Jenny and asked, "Were you surprised? I hope the proposal was okay, I can't remember what I said exactly. I blacked out. I had a whole speech prepared but I don't know if I actually said any of it." "Honestly I can't really remember either...I kinda also blacked out," Jenny admitted. The two are obviously meant for each other.
