Travel Note
We recommend staying in downtown Newport, so you’re within walking distance from the wedding, afterparty, and brunch (plus all the other great things Newport has to offer!) A few things to keep in mind: - For a group, we recommend airbnbs / vrbos as a cost-effective (& fun!) option - Newport has a bunch of cute bed & breakfasts, which are generally more affordable alternatives than hotels - Check-in can be as late as 4pm, so plan accordingly if you’re checking in Saturday (as ceremony starts at 5:30pm) - Summer weekends in Newport are busy, so try and book early! When you’re searching accommodations, Bowen’s Wharf is a central landmark to look around. Examples include: - Hotels: Hammetts Hotel, Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina, Newport Marriot - Bed & breakfasts: Harborside Inn, Howland House Inn, Almondy Inn, Admiral Fitzroy Inn While staying downtown is ideal for convenience, more affordable accommodations can also be found in neighboring towns, like Middletown. Please keep in mind traffic may be heavy, downtown parking can be expensive, and Ubers can be limited / have long wait times (so a little extra planning may be needed)!
