Brendon and Madison were first introduced by their mutual friend, Joe (who is one of Brendon’s Groomsmen), at a Wednesday night Mass at Saint Joseph’s Church in Raleigh. After that, Brendon and Madison’s friendship naturally grew through shared interests and mutual groups of friends (some of our friends later told us that they could see this coming from a mile away, and had known there was something between us before we even admitted it to each other - note to self, listen to your friends, haha!) Whether the conversation was about the happenings of the day, or politics & religion, or dreaming about the future, they were constantly delighted in learning about each other - and continue to share in that delight! These conversations and time spent together allowed them to develop a beautiful friendship. In the Spring of 2021, Brendon asked Madison to dinner and a drive-in movie, where Brendon had ingeniously filled the bed of his truck with cushions and movie snacks. This was the first of many dates, which led to the deepening of their friendship and blossoming of their relationship. Within the first few dates, they discovered their love of dancing together - whether cooking in the kitchen, walking through the grocery aisle, or on an actual dance floor, dancing is an absolute joy for them both. (We can't wait to see your dance moves at our reception!) Since the beginning of their relationship, it was clear to both Brendon and Madison that Christ is, and should be, at the center of their lives. They look forward to continue leading each other to the Lord and, ultimately, to Heaven. They enjoy going to Mass together, along with confession, adoration, and praying the Rosary - all of which bring joy, peace, and love to their relationship. At the Christmas Dance hosted by Saint Joseph’s last year, Brendon led Madison from the dance hall into the quiet chapel, in front of the tabernacle, and with Jesus as his witness, Brendon asked Madison to be his bride. Spoiler: She said YES! They are now incredibly excited to be preparing and praying for their future together!
