After meeting on OKCupid and bonding over cheesecloth and cold brew coffee, we finally went on our first date! We met at a bar that we both frequented when we both lived in New Brunswick, NJ. However, unknown to either of us, we were not aware that it was Trivia Night. Although we did not sign up to participate, we are pretty sure we would have placed at least third (but most likely would have won). In less than a week, we had our second date.

During the week, Brendan made the decision to propose. However, he decided to wait until the weekend. It was like any nice day where we would go on a walk together so it was an easy excuse to get Ellen out of the house without raising any suspicion. Unbeknownst to Ellen, Brendan put something other than his keys into his pocket. Halfway through the walk, Brendan started to slow his pace and led Ellen to a dry spot on the path since it had rained the day before. With his knee on the only dry spot on the path, Brendan asked Ellen to marry him. We are so excited to celebrate with you!
