Pizzeria Bianco
The hype *is* true! Though the downtown location on 3rd street is the OG, the lines can be a bear. This location serves up that same delicious pie with far more reasonable wait times.
Encanto Park
This is a great place if you are wanting to get outside and stretch the legs in the city. There are play areas of kiddos and green space for picnics. Basketball, volleyball, tennis & pickleball courts are all there too, first come first serve.
Hiking Recommendations
If you are wanting to get out into the mountains, there are plenty of local hikes to scratch the itch and a couple a bit further out of the city (40 mins) but are very worth your while. South Mountain: Fat Man's Pass National Trail to Mormon Loop Piestewa Peak: Trail 100 Summit Trail Camelback Mountain: Echo Canyon Cholla If you are willing to drive a bit out of town, one of the favorite places for Van Brunt hikes is in the Superstition Mountains: First Water Creek Peralta Trail to Freemont Saddle Siphon Draw to Flat Iron
