Our story starts over 10 years ago at Virginia Tech when destiny (the Housing Corps) placed us both on the third floor of Slusher Wing; where we met and became really good friends. We would go on to live together in college and hang in the same friend groups, and while its safe to say we both felt a spark; we never officially dated. We both moved to NoVA after college and hung out for a while but lost touch once Bree started working overseas. Fast forward a few years to the Pandemic, and while we were all stuck in our houses Bree asked Ken to come over to have a happy hour on the porch. We practically spent the whole night laughing and reminiscing of all the good times over the years. Little did we know that we left that night with the same sentiment of thinking maybe the timing was finally right. It didn’t take long for us to start spending more and more time together and the rest is history. While the pandemic was awful for a lot of people we were lucky to have something beautiful come out of it. Since then we lived the NoVA life and at the end of 2022 we decided to take a leap of faith and move Virgina Beach. But before saying goodbye to the city, Ken made one of our last DC memories pretty amazing by popping the question in December 2022!
