Always, always

I ventured out after a long work week to a beer release at a local brewery and he stopped in to get a cold one after a hard day at work. I was there for the Breakfast Stout he was there for the Radio Haze. He says he noticed me and the empty seat next to me and decided if the seat was still there after a bathroom detour he would sit down and chat. The beer was delicious but the conversation was even better. I shared my excitement about my Star Wars advent calendar and he told me about his love of Kurosawa movies. I confess I was hinting he should invite me to see one...and when he asked for my number, I said yes. For the next three weeks we text every day about which mini-figure I got in the advent and flirted shamelessly. Before we knew it, we were closing down restaurants with conversations we didn't want to end and making out on street corners. It was the beginning of the great life we wanted to build together.
