Sarah and Alex both endured many years of bad dates before finally finding each other on the dating app Hinge. In fact, Sarah "liked" Alex's profile in spring of 2023 but she never heard back. Alex would like to interject here to say that that he was talking to someone else at the time and wasn't invested in dating apps (this might be true, but Sarah will never let him live it down). Fast forward to October 2023 and Alex "liked" Sarah's profile after seeing her in his "most compatible" section. Skipping the chit chat, he scheduled a date at Screwtop Wine Bar in Arlington for the following week. One date led to another and after the third date, which included a nighttime stroll on the National Mall, both parties knew that something was different this time. As the saying goes, "when you know, you know". On April 5th, 2024, Alex popped the question at his apartment to which Sarah wholeheartedly responded "YES!" We are grateful to God for bringing us together and for the support and prayers of our family and friends as we journeyed towards each other. We can't wait to celebrate with you in D.C. on December 28th!
