Maid of Honor
Allow me to introduce my Maid of Honor, Alisa, who has been my best friend since college. We met in parasitology class, and from the moment I saw her, I knew we would be great friends. Alisa sat in front of me, and I couldn't help but notice that she was always online shopping during class. It wasn't until later that I found out that we shared a love for Taylor Swift, and that cemented our friendship. Alisa and I have been through so much together, including countless dance parties in my apartment. We've danced and sung our hearts out to Taylor Swift's music, and it's always been a highlight of our time together. Alisa is not just a friend, but she's also been like a sister to me. At one point, Alisa didn't even bother texting when she was coming over to my place; she just knew she was always welcome. Alisa even has the audacity of a sister. If I am unavailable, Alisa knows just who to call – either Austin or my Dad (depending who I am with). She's always jokingly telling me that she's my parents' favorite child, but deep down, we all know that she's just kidding (perks of being an only child; you are always the favorite). Alisa is an amazing person with a heart of gold. She's always been there for me, through thick and thin, offering a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. I couldn't ask for a better Maid of Honor, and I'm so grateful to have her by my side on my wedding day.
Best Man
Vaughn and I have been friends for as long as I can remember, and I'm so honored to have him by my side on my wedding day. One of the things that Vaughn and I bond over is our love of golf. We're always trying to one-up each other on the course and it's become a friendly rivalry that has brought us even closer together. Since beating him by 15 strokes in middle school golf tryouts he has made it his life mission to best me on the course. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have as my golfing partner and best man. But golf isn't the only thing that Vaughn is competitive about. He's also a serious gamer and loves nothing more than getting lost in a good video game. We've had some epic battles on the virtual battlefield, and I have to admit, he usually is the one carrying our team. Despite his competitive nature, Vaughn is one of the most loyal and caring people I know. He's always been there for me, no matter what, and I'm grateful to have him as my best friend. I know that he'll be the best man I could ever ask for, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for our friendship.
Bridesmaid
Introducing one of my dearest friends and bridesmaids, Hannah! We met in college and lived just two doors down from each other, which is where our friendship truly blossomed. Hannah has been a constant support system for me throughout the years, and I'm so grateful to have her standing by my side on my wedding day. To give you an idea how great of a friend Hannah is she was constantly "saving" me from a bunch of frogs that were hanging out at my door! As someone who absolutely hates frogs, I don't know what I would have done without her. Hannah and I also share a deep love for Auburn University. We both bleed orange and blue and can't help but get excited during football season. Some of our fondest memories together are in Jordan-Hare and cheering on the Tigers. Hannah is one of the kindest and most genuine people I know. Her unwavering loyalty and support have gotten me through some of the toughest times in my I can't wait to see Hannah standing by my side on my wedding day. Thank you for always being there for me, and for saving me from those frogs all those years ago.
Groomsman
Meet Corey Waldon, the genius coder and lifelong friend I've had the privilege of knowing since our middle school days. From our early encounters over sports and video games, to beating him in chess once in 9th grade English class, our friendship has always been a dynamic blend of competition and camaraderie. We were an unstoppable duo at local and state tech fairs from 5th to 12th grade, showcasing our programming prowess. Corey's enthusiasm for programming rubbed off on me, and it's safe to say that he opened the door to my software engineering journey. Now, he's conquering the tech world at Google, showcasing his incredible talent. And yes, there was that one time I may have whacked him with a school laptop—forever etched in our memories. Here's to more victories, laughter, and endless coding adventures!
Bridesmaid
Introducing Tobie Cross, the amazing bridesmaid! Tobie and I first met in the college library, a chance meeting as she was friends with Alisa, the maid of honor. We formed a friendship, becoming part of the "library gang," but instead of studying, we often found ourselves indulging in to-go margaritas from Taco Mama during the pandemic and binge-watching "Say Yes to the Dress." Tobie is that friend you can count on whenever you need her. She's reliable, supportive, and always up for a good time. With Tobie as a bridesmaid, our wedding day is sure to be filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable moments. Here's to Tobie, a friend for life and a fabulous bridesmaid!
Groomsmen
Introducing Matthew McClure, one of the groomsmen! Matt and the groom go way back, all the way to the days of Cold Water Elementary. They've been bros since the time when "recess" was the highlight of the day and trading Pokémon card or tech deck boards was a serious business. Matt's got that laid-back vibe and rock-solid reliability that makes him the ideal wingman in any situation. Whether it's backing the groom up on the basketball court or lending a hand with wedding plans, he's got the groom's back. Cheers to Matt, the long-time buddy turned groomsmen, ready to keep the good times rolling on this big day!
Bridesmaid
Introducing Danielle Spiker, the awesome bridesmaid! Danielle and I survived the trenches of graduate school, grappling with papers, exams, and our fair share of caffeine-fueled all-nighters. Our friendship grew stronger as we navigated the craziness of academia and found ways to laugh through the stress. Our shared love for Taylor Swift's music was a great escape. We'd delve into the latest Taylor Swift theories of the week, dissecting lyrics and unraveling mysteries, finding a fun distraction from our academic challenges. Now, as I approach my wedding day, I'm thrilled to have Danielle by my side as a bridesmaid. Her friendship has been a constant anchor, and her sense of humor always lifts my spirits. With Danielle there, I know the celebration will be a blast. Here's to Danielle, the friend who made grad school survivable and life enjoyable!
Junior Bridesmaid
Introducing the lovely junior bridesmaid, Macey, who also happens to be the groom's cousin! I'm so excited to have her be a part of my wedding day. Despite being younger than the rest of the bridesmaids, Macey brings so much energy and excitement to the group. When she's not in school, you can find her swimming laps at the pool. Her dedication to the sport is truly impressive, and I'm in awe of her ability to balance being on two swim teams and school! I'm so happy to have her stand by my side on my special day. I know she'll be the perfect addition to the bridal party, bringing a youthful energy and joy to the occasion.
