After both moving to San Antonio, TX and living there for three years. The two crossed paths nearly every day on the UTSA campus — somehow managing to never officially meet. When Breana graduated college, she made the decision to move back home to Buffalo. Unknowingly, Jonathan made the same move about a year later. Fate couldn’t keep them apart any longer. Both decided to download the dating app Bumble — where Breana had to make the first move. When she was swiping she saw a guy wearing a UTSA shirt. Someone in Buffalo, who also had ties to UTSA? Most people had no idea about the school. She couldn’t miss out on finding out his story, so she messaged him “nice shirt 👀” and the rest is history.

The day after Christmas, Jon planned a morning where they could spend some time, just the two of them. They went for an amazing breakfast at the Red Coach Inn, overlooking the rapids at Niagara Falls. After breakfast, Jon suggested we take a walk over to the Falls; claiming to have never been. Jon never asks for pictures and always acts like a goofball when Breana asks. Eventually, he asked two strangers next to us to take some photos. They obliged, trying to give back the phone, Jon asked them to take one more as he got down on one knee. With an extremely shaky hand Breana said yes! Neither remember what was actually said as they were so overwhelmed with emotion and blacked out.
