A park overlooking the water while surrounded by shops and restaurants, if you search Charleston on Google Images the Pineapple Fountain will most likely appear somewhere at the top.
One of the oldest plantation's in America, touring this historical landmark (and Drayton Hall) would be perfect for those who want to blow time on our big day before the ceremony begins as it is only 4 miles from our venue and even holds a restauraunt that serves both lunch and dinner. We considered holding our wedding here in the early stages of planning.
Drayton Hall was built for the great grandson of the founder of Magnolia Plantation (our wedding venue). This historical landmark is just over a mile from our venue making it perfect to tour (along with Middleton Place) on our big day before the ceremony begins.
Both Folly Beach and Sullivan's Island are great beaches to visit depending on the location of your hotel. The Bride strongly prefers Sullivan's Island as it tends to be much less crowded and more serene, while Folly Beach is furtherly frequented with more of an active atmosphere.
