A little history on the building….Originally built as a summer residence for Alice Bemis Taylor—a noted philanthropist and member of one of Colorado Springs’ founding families—the historic lodge now serves as one of La Foret’s meeting places. The log lodge was built in the Rocky Mountain Rustic Style, with wrought-iron fixtures, a cathedral-style ceiling, and wood-burning fireplaces.
