Our Love Story

Our first picture together! This was in August 2020, about a month before we started dating officially. We spent the afternoon together in College Station while Brandt and his family were in Texas.

Brandt's first trip to Texas in October 2020 after we started dating. We carved pumpkins with the Coxes, went to Houston for church with the Springers, and spent some time with Brandt's family too!

We went to a drive-in movie and got Whataburger malts on the way home afterward!

Brandt came to Texas to help his grandmother move to Florida, and we went to some Christmas lights in Austin while we were there. We said "I love you" for the first time on this trip!

Another of MANY FaceTimes - this was in December 2020, and Brandt thought we would not see each other again until February. Little did he know, Kalyn had a surprise up her sleeve!

New Years 2021... Kalyn surprised Brandt with her first trip to Florida after Christmas. We had so much fun!

More FaceTime... we stayed on the phone for hours at a time for the first year or so of our relationship!

Brandt's sweet family took us all to Discovery Cove on Valentine's Day weekend in 2021! The start of a tradition!

During this same trip to Florida in February 2021, Texas FROZE! Kalyn had to reschedule her flight three times and ended up staying in Florida for about 10 days. It was a dream come true for these two!

Thank God for FaceTime! We would not have made it through almost 3 years of long distance without it.

Brandt's senior prom in May 2021!

We took a trip over to one of our favorite places, Boca Grande, with Brandt's parents before Kalyn had to head back to Texas for finals week.

While in Florida for graduation, Brandt surprised Kalyn with a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal! It was a dream come true. Here's a pic of us and our Butterbeer mustaches!

Brandt's graduation from Lemon Bay High School! Because of COVID, Kalyn almost couldn't go to the ceremony. Brandt was able to find extra tickets and made sure she could be there!

Brandt flew back to Texas with Kalyn after graduation to attend a good friend's graduation party (where we went mudding, clearly) as well as to meet the rest of Kalyn's family at the Osbourn Reunion.

Quick trip to San Antonio in June! We went to the Alamo and the River Walk the first night and stayed with Kalyn's aunt and uncle.

The second day we were in San Antonio we went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas... or we tried anyway. It started POURING on us, so we ended up leaving and went to see Cruella in theaters instead.

Brandt's first trip to the ranch in Llano - we had to visit Grandchildren's Rock for one of the best views!

Last trip to Florida in August 2021 before Brandt's first year at USF and Kalyn's second year at A&M. We went hiking after dropping Brandt's mom and brother off at the airport EARLY in the morning!

September 2021 - Brandt came to Texas for the first TAMU game! We walked down the wrong road on the way home after the game, and ended up walking almost four miles in our boots! One word - blisters.

The same September trip - Brandt and Kalyn went to the Lexington vs Rockdale football game to watch Kalyn's brother play.

Kalyn's first trip to Tampa after Brandt moved to college! We did facemasks, went to Busch Gardens for Howl-O-Scream, and had a movie night!

Helping out at Brandt's grandparents' place in Hearne! Kalyn learned how to use a chainsaw and Brandt learned to drive the tractor. We felt cool. ;)

Kalyn's grandparents' 50th Anniversary Party on New Year's Eve! There was dinner, dancing, hunting, and fireworks! What more could you need?!

Brandt was able to be stay in Texas just long enough for when Kalyn ordered her Aggie ring over Christmas break!

We went to WinterJam in Tampa with some of Brandt's good college friends. We also went to Discovery Cove with the Vaughns again on this trip!

Movie date to celebrate a year and a half together in March 2022!

We went to the Houston Rodeo over Spring Break with the Springers. We saw Parker McCollum in concert - he was great!

Brandt's mom took us and his brothers to a TAMU Baseball game over Spring Break 2022 as well! We lost, but it was still a fun experience!

We went BACK to the Houston Rodeo the last day that the Vaughns were in Texas for Spring Break, but this time we saw Brad Paisley! It was a great way to end a fun week!

We spent Easter 2022 in Florida!

We took a day trip to Boca Grande with Brandt's extended family when we were all in Florida for his brother's graduation in May 2022. This is one of our favorite places to be!

We took a trip to Georgia this past summer with the Vaughns for the younger boys' baseball tournament! This photo was taken behind the house we stayed in. We had fun catching salamanders in the creek!

Brandt got to come to Kalyn's family's annual Log Country Cove vacation!

Last minute trip to Tampa to finish off the summer... We went to dinner at our favorite pizza place, Eddie & Sam's, and walked around downtown!

Kalyn surprised Brandt in Florida the weekend after his birthday. The Vaughns came to Tampa and we went to the USF football game, then got Brandt's favorite ice cream afterward!

The Cox family took us on a trip to Estes Park, Colorado before Christmas! It was absolutely beautiful and we're ready to go back!

We volunteered as counselors together at a Christian Christmas Camp for foster children over the break. It was such a blessing to be able to serve as a couple for the first time!

This was our most recent trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Brandt's family! It was one of our favorite Christmas gifts!
