You mentioned on the invitation that anyone who is not vaccinated will have to take signficant precautionary measures to attend - what are they?

Answer

Anyone who is not fully vaccinated will have to abide by the following precautions: 1. A negative PCR test (taken within 5 days of the wedding). 2. A self administered home test the day of any wedding event(s) attended. 3. Mask must be worn at all wedding related festivities when not eating or drinking. These precautions will be monitored and enforced for the safety of our guests!

Can I drive myself? Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes. There is ample parking at The Maxwell.

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes! We will be bussing guests to the wedding at 4:30 PM from the Umstead Hotel and Spa AND from the Embassy Suites. Busses will leave the venue at 11:00 PM to return to the Umstead Hotel and Spa and Embassy Suites.

Answer

The Umstead is very busy in May - it is wedding season! For reservations at Heron's (their 2021 Forbes Five-Star restaurant), make reservations ASAP. Same for the spa!
