We were both on match.com looking for the one, when he surprised me with a message. We talked for only a day or two online when I finally asked him if he would like to get together and meet. We planned on meeting up the next day and going to the Funny Bone in Omaha, NE. He nervously and patiently waited for me outside of the doors. We enjoyed a wonderful comedy show and then afterwards we decided to walk across the street and go to a bar and have a few drinks. We ended up staying there for several hours just talking and attempting to play shuffleboard (neither of us knew how to play). He drove me home after that and the rest is history!

The morning of June 2nd, 2023 was as normal a day as any other. We had taken the day off of work because we were closing on our first house later that afternoon. We started the day by going to get Starbucks and walking around Home depot to get things we would need for the new house while also looking at things we would later want. We closed on our house that afternoon and had our moms both come over to look at it and help take our picture in front of our first home. While both our moms were standing on the sidewalk taking our picture he tapped me on my shoulder, i turned, and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was such a magical day!
