Whatever you feel the best in! We want everyone to have a good time and feel great. HOWEVER, we know you're probably asking because you heard a rumor that the bride is wearing PINK. While she doesn't care what you wear, she knows that people don't like to wear the same color as the bride. Do with this information what you will.
While your kids are very cute and probably sometimes say funny things, we would like to spend time with you in your highest party animal form and kids tend to harsh the vibe, ya know? (Not your kids. Your kids are great.) In order to accommodate all the adults we'd love to celebrate with and make sure they are all having a night of revelry and freedom, we are requesting this be an adults-only affair. And the Cardi B songs that will be pumping through the speakers immediately following dessert prefer that as well. TL, DR: R-rated reception
That's pretty lame, but we figured we'd end up with some of you on our list. Don't worry, the venue will have a full bar and the after-party will have a REALLY full bar.
That's between you and Google. Just kidding. Kind of. We did not block off a set of rooms in a generic hotel because some of you might want to stay near an airport, some of you might want to be in scenic downtown Chicago, whereas others may want to slum it on a park bench. We can't make plans with that kind of diversity of thought. The venue does recommend a couple of cute little places, though, if you'd like to start with an idea in mind. They're relatively close to the venue because you cannot, in fact, just "rest your eyes" in the corner while they clean up: THE ROBEY WICKER PARK INN HOTEL LINCOLN CLARIDGE HOUSE
If you're not a Chicago native, remember that if you find what looks like a parking spot but there are lawn chairs or folding tables in the way, leave them where they are. (That's more of a snowy day thing, but you NEVER KNOW.) The venue is in a cool, hip neighborhood where people don't "do" parking. There is minimal street parking if you're lucky, but we highly recommend using Uber or Lyft (not sponsored) to get there AND to get you home safely after we fill you with refreshments. Feel free to check SpotHero (also not sponsored) if you're feeling like you just can't leave your car behind. Alternatively, the California Blue Line stop (not sponsored, but always a gift) is right around the corner.
