Matron of Honor
The Matron of Honor and the Maid of Honor are Betsy's two sisters closest to her in age. Grace is the fifth of the Daly children and the third of the Daly girls. Grace and Betsy grew up side by side and were roommates basically until the day Grace got married! Grace and her family live in Bloomington, so they played a key role in Betsy and Brandon's relationship, as they have graciously hosted Betsy during her frequent trips to Bloomington to visit Brandon. Betsy doesn’t know where she’d be without Grace’s prayers and support!
Maid of Honor
The Matron of Honor and the Maid of Honor are Betsy's two sisters closest to her in age. Maddie is the seventh of the Daly children and the fifth of the Daly girls. Betsy and Maddie also grew up side-by-side. As childhood roommates, Maddie had the unfortunate position of sleeping in the bunkbed beneath Betsy's very squeaky bed. As adults, Betsy and Maddie are roommates again in Betsy's house. Betsy gave Maddie a small and windowless room in the basement. Clearly, she can sleep under any condition! Even though Maddie is younger than Betsy, Betsy looks up to Maddie often for her wisdom, her cooking skills, her heroic kindness as a nurse and her ability to make anyone smile amidst the monotony of their day.
Bridesmaid
Mary is the second of the Daly children and the oldest of the Daly girls. Betsy and Mary are pictured here on Mary's wedding day! As the oldest sister, Mary plays a motherly role to Betsy. Mary is wise in both a scholarly sense and a virtuous sense. She cares deeply for those around her and makes meaning and beauty out of everything. Betsy and Mary have many similarities, from passion for the pro-life movement to marrying men that are more than a year younger than them! Fellow Notre Dame grads, Mary and Brandon have bonded over their love of books and reading. Mary will give birth to her sixth child about a month before Betsy and Brandon's wedding!
Bridesmaid
Rose is the third of the Daly children and the second of the Daly sisters. Rose and her family were bold enough to host Brandon at their house for his first overnight trip to visit Betsy in Louisville in May of 2023. Here was Betsy asking Rose and her family of five to let this guy Betsy had met on the internet stay in her basement! Fortunately, Brandon passed this test with flying colors. Needless to say, Rose is extremely kind and welcoming. Her husband and now six children make Brandon feel like family. Brandon gladly talks baseball with Rose's oldest, Max. Betsy is so grateful for Rose’s friendship and support throughout her life!
Bridesmaid
Helen is the youngest of the Daly children. She is pictured here in the disguise she wore as she staked out to take pictures when Brandon proposed to Betsy. How did she get this gig, you may ask? Well, she left a cryptic note in Brandon's room at Betsy's parents' house one weekend in January, saying "I have a camera and I know how to use it." Consequently, Helen is the one responsible for both the beautiful proposal and engagement pictures of Betsy and Brandon! Although Helen is the youngest Daly, she is wise and mature, and Betsy looks up to her for her resilience and for her love and devotion to her family. Helen is hands-down the coolest aunt to her 18 nieces and nephews. She is fun and caring and not afraid to be wild with the little kids. Helen is also the only one of the five SLU Billikens of the Daly family to pursue a second degree from SLU!
Bridesmaid
Katie is Betsy's sister-in-law, married to Betsy's oldest brother, John. Katie has braved the difficult task of being the only sister-in-law to six sisters, and she has been doing it boldly and beautifully for the past 12 years! Betsy first met Katie when Katie was in her first year teaching at SHA. Katie was Betsy's classmates' teacher and the daughter of some old family friends of the Dalys. All of that quickly changed when John started teaching at SHA too. By the end of Betsy's high school years, Katie wasn't just a teacher at SHA -- she was Betsy's sister-in-law, Betsy's family and Betsy's friend. Katie's faith and thoughtfulness inspires Betsy and Betsy is so happy to have Katie beside her on her wedding day!
Bridesmaid
Marissa was Betsy's roommate for two years in college. When Marissa first met Betsy in chem lab freshman year, she thought Betsy was a snobby smart girl who took herself a little too seriously. Fortunately, as the open and welcoming person that Marissa is, that didn't stop her from trying to be nice to Betsy. Betsy and Marissa are both very different and very similar in their joyful chaos. In sophomore year of college, when told that Marissa and Betsy would be roommates junior year, a friend said "did Betsy agree to that?" But room together they did, and their friendship was solidified. Marissa is the kind of person that you can do life with, even if you live 10 hours away from one another. She is always up for a phone call, she cares for you like you are family, and she will never be fake with you. Betsy is very grateful for Marissa's friendship over the last ten years!
Bridesmaid
Emily is Brandon's older sister. As the dutiful older sister, Emily subjected Brandon to an appropriate amount of torture growing up. In one famous incident, she convinced Brandon to eat a St. Patrick's Day pin! Because of this, there exists an x-ray of Brandon with a round pin in his abdomen. Nonetheless, Brandon and Emily are good friends in adulthood. They've moved beyond their childhood antics and their adventures now include working a summer camp together and walking a leg of the Camino together, among many more. Betsy and Emily were in the same class at SLU together. They shared mutual friends and a commitment to liturgical ministry. As they prayed together with their fellow liturgical ministers before the student Masses at SLU years ago, Emily and Betsy never thought that one day they would pray together around the Christmas dinner table as family! Emily will give birth to her first child just days before the wedding!
Bridesmaid
Anna is Brandon's younger sister. Like Emily, Anna submits Brandon to an appropriate amount of sisterly torture. She can often be found "tazing" Brandon or convincing him to do the dishes for her. But because Brandon loves her so much, he gladly endures her antics. Brandon cares for his little sister with the protectiveness of an older brother, and Betsy pities anyone who messes with Anna -- for they will have to answer to Brandon's wrath! Anna is mature beyond her years and loves her family devotedly. She has also generously given up her room to Betsy many times when Betsy has visited the Borgemenke homestead. Betsy is certainly indebted to Anna and is grateful to have her beside her on her wedding day!
Bridesmaid
Betsy and Monica have known each other for at least 17 years, and were roommates from September 2019 through June 2024. That's just shy of 5 years! In those five years, Monica and Betsy endured teaching hundreds (thousands?) of high schoolers, survived a pandemic, survived a flooded kitchen and a subsequent months-long kitchen remodel, and years of playing the dating game before finding their lovely men. They have also travelled throughout the Wild West and Israel together. Once Betsy was asked, "is there anything you and Monica DON'T do together?" Monica has a calm and caring nature that makes her such a sweet and thoughtful friend. Monica just got married in June of this year and it was so special for Betsy to walk along side her throughout her dating, engagement and wedding day. Betsy is so grateful to have had Monica beside her throughout these past five years and is so glad she will be on the altar with her come December 28!
Bridesmaid
Laura is the beautiful queen on the left in the picture! Laura and Betsy will have been roommates for over two years by the time wedding day comes along. Laura was the first one to learn of Brandon's existence, on the morning of April 16, 2023, as Betsy nervously ate breakfast and speedily got ready for her date with Brandon. It was also Laura who gave Betsy the guts to boldly ask Brandon out to coffee after only talking with him on a dating app for one day. Laura has supported and encouraged Betsy throughout her relationship with Brandon. She rejoices in other people's joy and brightens the day with her humor. It will be a joy to have her on the altar as Betsy joins her life to Brandon's!
Best Man
Brandon’s first roommate, Sam probably knows more embarrassing stories about Brandon than anyone else on the altar. Sam has a warm sense of humor and has always been a source of encouragement. Beyond years of sharing bunkbeds, Brandon especially treasures the time that he and Sam went to The Ohio State University together. Competing on the same intramural soccer and baseball teams, Brandon still can’t believe he was the one with the better batting average! Sam is the kind of brother you would want to backpack around Spain with and will always drop what he’s doing to indulge in a conversation to catch up. Sam is driven and sincere, Brandon could not ask for a better best man!
Groomsman
The older brother and someone Brandon always looked up to as a role model, Ryan is thoughtful. Whenever he travels, he keeps loved ones close to mind, returning home with souvenirs purchased specially for each person in the family. As a kid, it was formative for Brandon to see Ryan travel to Peru on a high school mission trip, hear about how he played a 16th century organ and ministered to local populations. Then to see Ryan, busy as a chemical engineering undergrad, give up his free time to play piano for cancer patients at Hope Lodge, Brandon often asked himself, “If he can make such a difference, why can’t I?” Ryan is good for advice and makes a great anchor for the Flying Pig relay!
Groomsman
Brandon’s second roommate, Noah is a welcome addition to the wedding party! One of Brandon’s favorite memories with Noah includes running around Universal trying to ride all the roller coasters in one day. A fellow Falcon, it has been fun for Brandon to see Noah branch out and pursue his passions. Noah is a generous host too! Brandon and Ryan experienced Noah’s hospitality when they went down to Clifton to tailgate the UC game against IU! He has a heart for others that inspires Brandon.

Brandon had the distinct honor of being Nick’s confirmation sponsor last year! It has been amazing for Brandon to watch Nick grow up to be such a fine young man. Brandon enjoys driving Nick to school when he’s home and going to Reds games together in the summer. Nick can rally a crowd; he sets up the family fantasy football and baseball leagues. Brandon can’t wait to cheer Nick on as a Fenwick Falcon this year and is proud to have him participating in the big day!
Groomsman
Not to be outdone by his twin, Max is a riot! When watching games together, Max can be counted on to draw the ire of others and predict the worst-case scenario after even a minorly poor play, saying things like, “Welp, game’s over now.” He has a levity about him that makes him good company. Brandon loves being back in town to watch Max notch another PR on the cross country course or track. But beyond these things, Max is first and foremost faithful. Max makes Brandon a proud older brother!

Brandon is grateful for John's friendship and honored to have him as part of the wedding party, knowing that his warmth and magnanimity will help make their special day even more unforgettable.

Roommates in Dallas, Arom was the first person Brandon met in the Lone Star State. Arom's immediate kindness was a beacon of warmth as he helped unload boxes and settle Brandon into their apartment, sparking a lasting friendship. Reflecting on their time together, Brandon recalls the shared adventures, from spontaneous road trips to Kansas marathons to quiet movie nights, where Arom's enthusiasm for film always shone through. Yet, it's the everyday moments that hold the most significance — Arom's culinary creations, evenings on the Haynie front lawn, and the deep conversations that cemented their friendship. Arom is a great guy and Brandon is excited to have him as a groomsman!

Adam is the epitome of down-to-earth, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He's known for his genuine kindness and selflessness, often taking the time to relay prayer requests and offer support to those around him. For Brandon, one of the highlights of his trips through Cincinnati is catching up with Adam, even if he is a Michigan fan. Brandon delights in hearing about Adam's latest ventures, from caring for his chickens and goats to his newfound passion for beekeeping. As one of Brandon's oldest friends, Tyler's roots go all the way back to preschool, where they bonded over an oral recitation of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." From those early days, their childhood summers were filled with adventures at the community pool and explorations of the local creek. Brandon fondly remembers knocking on Tyler's parents' door, asking if he could play. It was a delightful surprise to discover Tyler was living in Bloomington, just as Brandon was preparing to move there for law school. Proximity reignited their friendship, and Tyler was among the first of Brandon's friends to meet Betsy! Tyler embodies the kind of friend you can simply call up and hang out with whenever, wherever!
