Before our paths crossed, we were both navigating our own journeys through life, shaped by our unique experiences and aspirations. Sarah, who was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, went to school at Kent State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, wanted to find new experiences right out of school. So she accepted a job and moved to Jacksonville, FL where she found her passion for designing and building hospitals and healthcare facilities. She continued her love of travel, reading and soccer, along with finding new passions for days at the beach and exploring her new home. Meanwhile, Bradley, born and raised in Tampa, Florida, graduated from The Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and wanting something new, found a job and moved to Jacksonville living near the beach with some college friends. He continued his love of golf, spending time in nature and watching FSU sports. Though our paths had yet to cross, our individual stories were destined to intertwine in a moment that would forever change the course of our lives.

Our story begins in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, where fate, or perhaps a touch of serendipity, brought us together. The pivotal moment unfolded one evening during a Christmas party hosted by a company that we both happened to work for at the time. Little did we know, amidst the festive cheer and twinkling lights, our paths were about to cross, and it would forever change our lives. Bradley, with a smile that could light up the room, found himself engaged in conversation with friends near the bar. Sarah, with her infectious laughter and warmth, was introduced to the gathering by a mutual coworker, who sensed a connection waiting to blossom between the two. As fate would have it, there was an instant connection. Conversation flowed effortlessly, as if we had known each other for years rather than moments. To visiting the crystal blue waters of the Bahamas, where they swam with sea turtles, played with dolphins and enjoyed the new adventures and experiences of Nassau. Their love of adventure also took them to vibrant cities closer to home, each trip filled with discoveries and shared experiences that deepened their connection. In Chicago, they marveled at the iconic architecture along the river, enjoyed rooftop bars, and savored deep-dish pizza. In Austin, Texas, they were able to enjoy their passion for live music with the city’s eccentric music scene and indulged in mouthwatering food and Texas barbecue. Austin became a place where they shared their passion for sports, including their love of Formula 1. Whether watching the cars zoom by or enjoying the festivities and concerts surrounding the races, Bradley and Sarah found themselves bonding over their mutual excitement for the sport and creating lasting memories. On November 10th, 2023, what Sarah thought was a casual weekend stay at the beach, Bradley had a plan to turn it into a memory that they would cherish forever. After they arrived at the Don Cesar hotel located on St. Petersburg Beach, Florida, Bradley suggested they take a leisurely walk on the beach before their dinner reservation at the hotel. As they strolled along the shore at 5:30 PM, the sun setting in hues of gold and orange, Bradley could hardly contain his nerves—not of whether Sarah would say 'yes', but of ensuring he expressed every heartfelt sentiment he had for her. After five years of dating, Bradley knew this moment would eclipse them all, and he wanted to get it right and let Sarah know that she was the love of his life and the one he wanted to spend his future with. As they walked back to the hotel from their walk, Bradley stopped, took Sarah's hand, and knelt down on one knee. With trembling hands and a heart full of love, he asked Sarah to marry him. Overwhelmed with joy and love, Sarah said 'yes!', little did she know, Bradley had planned another sweet surprise.
